May half term activities: Make and decorate your own constellation telescope

May 27, 2023 @ 10:00 amJune 4, 2023 @ 4:00 pm

William Herschel made his own telescopes by hand, and so can you! This May half term you can make your own telescope in our Museum’s gallery.

View different constellations through your telescope, then later on you can see if you can spot the same stars in the night sky.

More to do at home: budding scientists can use a torch to explore the effects of light pollution on our view of the stars.

Access to the activities gallery is included with Museum entry. Activities are free for children, who must be accompanied by a paying adult. No booking required – just drop in.

Please note: The Museum will not be open on Monday 29th May
